A big warm hello and welcome to Chasing Lobsters!
I’m Georgie Muir and I’m so delighted you’ve joined me here today.
I'm sure you're wondering what all this lobster chasing nonsense is about? Well, you can read HERE about how and where it all stemmed from, but the short of it is this;
I am a British wellness coach, chiropractor, passionate health nerd and aspiring kitchen goddess.
I am here to show you that being healthy and living vibrantly, doesn’t have to be complicated. Health isn’t rocket science, fitness isn’t only for athletic types, happiness isn't reserved for the lucky few and you don’t need the will power of a monk to get there.
I am not a chef, a dietician, nor am I even a particularly good cook, but I AM a healthy-eater, a healthy-mover and an ever practising healthy-thinker and I hope to encourage you towards the same. I’m here to show you that a healthy lifestyle is exciting, dreams are priceless and chasing them down is fun!
With simple daily practices, principles and habits, you will see your body, energy and life transform. I am so excited to share my journey with you and inspire and empower you along yours.
A little more juiciness...
Chasing Lobsters began for me in Summer 2014 when we found out that Graham, my husband, had been posted to work with the US Army in Louisiana for two years. As exciting as that was, it quickly became apparent that I wasn’t going to be able to practice as a chiropractor out there...PANIC!!!!.
So my chiropractic practices, roles, routines and my identity were all to be put on pause...Uh oh...
After some initial teary concerns (total melt down) of 'but what will I do?' / 'This is who I am!' / 'I don’t want to be 'just a wife'' etc. my Dad’s teachings suddenly struck me stronger than ever before;
~ THE WORLD IS MY LOBSTER, I CAN DO, BE, SEE AND ACHIEVE WHATEVER I DESIRE!
Rather than shrinking into the darkness of lost identity, I decided to see it as an incredible opportunity! An opportunity for change, growth, adventure, self-development and discovery – an opportunity to question actually not ‘what can I do’ or ‘what will I do’ but rather ‘what do I want to do?’
Things then very quickly transitioned from terrifying, to the most exciting journey of my life.
I vowed to keep myself active and inspired in pursuing my own health, food, fitness, and travel 'lobsters' whilst still empowering people everyday to also take steps towards a vibrant, healthy life they love. I launched this blog and from that blossomed a gorgeous Wellness Coaching business that I adore. I was determined to provide yummy, wholesome recipes, exercise tips and thought provoking nuggets of information that inspire the world to be healthier, happier and follow their dreams!
It is a journey that has taken me places physically and emotionally I’d never been before, but without doubt it has been the best challenge of my life.
